About Graham

Hello! My name is Graham Walker and I am the owner and therapist of Deep Awakening Therapy & Consultation.

I am of English, Irish and Welsh ancestry on my father's side, and Russian and Ukrainian ancestry on my mother's side. I am blessed to live in the place of my birth, the traditional and ancestral land of the Laich-kwil-tach First Nations, also known as Campbell River, BC. 

In addition to my professional role as a clinical counsellor and therapist, I am a father, husband, son, brother and friend. I enjoy many different activities, including writing, hiking in the forest, reading, dancing, exploring new places, painting, playing board games, watching movies and more. I am passionate about the intersection of spirituality, soul work, mythology, ritual, psychedelics and the potential of human healing and growth.

I have a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Adler University and I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors. In addition, I hold a Psychedelic Assisted Therapy Graduate Certificate (PATGC) from Vancouver Island University and a Psychedelic Somatic Interactional Psychotherapy (PSIP) certificate with the Psychedelic Somatic Institute. I have also completed numerous other trainings for a variety of therapies, including Internal Family Systems (IFS), Compassionate Inquiry, trauma-informed therapy, somatic therapy, and mindfulness-based therapy, among others. I have been working in the field of counselling therapy since 2011, and in the field of psychedelic-assisted therapy since 2021.

In addition to the experience and qualifications that I have been very fortunate to receive, I also - and will always - remain a humble student of this work. I am continually learning from my mentors, my clients, and the sacred medicines - all of whom help me on my own path of healing, growing and awakening.
